GO-KART STEERING MECHANISM

The  steering system  converts the rotation of the  steering  wheel into a swiveling movement of the road wheels in such a way that the  steering -wheel rim turns a long way to move the road wheels a short way. The  system  allows a driver to use only light forces to  steer  a heavy car

MTB Design (PART_02) FRONT FORK DESIGN IN NX

A  mountain bike  ( MTB ) or mountain bicycle is a bicycle designed for off-road cycling.

MTB DESIGN (PART_01) REAR WHEEL DESIGN in NX

A  mountain bike  ( MTB ) or mountain bicycle is a bicycle designed for off-road cycling.

AIRCRAFT ENGINE Animation in UNIGRAPHICS

One piston, the uppermost one in the  animation , has a master rod with a direct attachment to the crankshaft. The remaining pistons pin their connecting rods' attachments to rings around the edge of the master rod. ... The  radial engine  normally uses fewer cam lobes than other types

V12 Engine Animation in UNIGRAPHICS

The most common use of  V12 engines  in the 21st century has been marine  engines , railway locomotives, large stationary  engines  and European sports/luxury cars

Design of universal coupling using creo 3.0

Universal  joints allow drive shafts to move up and down with the suspension while the shaft is moving so power can be transmitted when the drive shaft isn't in a straight line between the transmission and drive wheels. Rear-wheel-drive  vehicles  have  universal  joints (or U-joints) at both ends of the drive shaft.

Piston Design using NX

The functions of the  pistons  are  to transmit the gas forces via the connecting rod to the crank shaft,  to seal - in conjunction with the  piston  rings - the combustion chamber against gas leakage to the crankcase and to prevent the infiltration of oil from the crankcase into the combustion chamber,  to dissipate

Design of an CRANKSHAFT

A  crankshaft  is used wherever there is a need to convert energy and power into rotary movements. ...  Crankshafts  are used in a wide variety of engines, from motorised chain saws and cars to diesel engines in ships

OSCULATING CYLINDER ENGINE MECHANISM

Oscillating cylinder  steam  engines  are now mainly used in toys and models but, in the past, have been used in full-size working  engines , mainly on ships and small stationary  engines . ... They also tend to be more compact than other types of a  cylinder  of the same capacity, which makes them advantageous for use in ships

Flapping Bird Design

Ornithopter  Flapping Mechanisms . The purpose of the  flapping mechanism  is to convert the rotary motion of your motor into the reciprocating motion of  flapping  wings. ... Unfortunately, when a second wing is added, this  mechanism  will produce asymmetric  flapping . The two connecting rods leave the crank at different angles

Beam engine mechanism

A  beam engine  is a type of steam  engine  where a pivoted overhead  beam  is used to apply the force from a vertical piston to a vertical connecting rod. ...  Beam engines  were first used to pump water out of mines or into canals but could be used to pump water to supplement the flow for a waterwheel powering a mill.

Design & Animation of LAMBORGHINI ENGINE (V12 Engine)

A  V12 engine  is a twelve-cylinder  piston engine  where two banks of six cylinders are arranged in a  V configuration  around a common crankshaft. V12 engines are more common than V10 engines. However, they are less common than V8 engines. The first V12 engine was built in 1904 for use in racing boats. Due to the balanced nature of the engine and the smooth delivery of power, V12 engines were popular in early luxury automobiles, boats, aircraft and tanks.

IRIS Mechanism (SHUTTER MECHANISM)

Iris mechanism  is the new  mechanism  built in rehabilitation process for upper limb. The unique structure or movement of the  iris mechanism  is the center can gradually open when any layer is rotating. Different size of center can be designed based on the designer desired.

ELLIPTICAL TRAMMEL Mechanism

It is used in automatic tool changer in machining.   Elliptical Trammels  are used for drawing large ellipses.  They can be used to draw smaller ellipses but only draw one half at a time, having to be reversed to draw the complete  ellipse

Scissor Lift Mechanism

Scissor lifts  are widely used in industrial  applications , and also form a staple  design  element in competitive robotics. Each arm of the crosses is called a ' scissor  arm' or ' scissor  member'.

Quick Return Mechanism

Shaping Machine A  quick return mechanism  is used where there is a need to convert rotary  motion  into reciprocating  motion . As the disc rotates the black slide moves forwards and backwards. Many machines have this type of  mechanism  shaping machine is the best example

Double crank mechanism

Double Crank Mechanism  converts reciprocating motion to rotational motion and vice versa. Interesting for this  mechanism  is that it has three moments of standstill. This project aims at carrying structural analysis on the  mechanism  with two different loading configurations

Design and Animation of Radial Engine

The  radial engine  is a reciprocating type internal combustion  engine  configuration in which the cylinders "radiate" outward from a central crankcase like the spokes of a wheel. ... The  radial  configuration was commonly used for aircraft  engines  before gas turbine  engines  became predominant.

Design and Animation of Flexible Flange Coupling

Flexible couplings  are usually used to transmit torque from one  shaft  to another when the two shafts are slightly misaligned. They can accommodate varying degrees of misalignment up to 1.5° and some parallel misalignment. They can also be used for vibration damping or noise reduction

Oldham's Coupling Mechanism

The term  Oldham coupling  describes the power transmission  mechanism . The couplings are designed for applications where there should be no reaction during operation. ... Deliver the torque  Oldham  couplings are useful for applications with parallel misalignment.

Scotch Yoke Mechanism

The  Scotch Yoke  (also known as slotted link  mechanism ) is a reciprocating motion  mechanism , converting the linear motion of a slider into rotational motion, or vice versa. The piston or other reciprocating part is directly coupled to a sliding  yoke  with a slot that engages a pin on the rotating part.

Geneva Mechanism

Geneva Mechanisms  are widely used in motion picture  film  projectors to intermittently advance  film  through a  film  gate having a projection aperture. The  film  is moved or advanced by a  Geneva Mechanism  (also known as a “Maltese Cross”) until an image frame is in alignment with the projection aperture. In  watches , the " drive "  wheel  is the one that winds up the spring, and the  Geneva wheel  with four or five spokes and one closed slot prevents overwinding (and also complete unwinding) of the spring. ... The Iron Ring Clock uses a  Geneva mechanism  to provide intermittent motion to one of its rings.
